2009 Cub Scout and Webelos Camp
Avast ye, Maytey! Yew and yer crew should be joining us at Flaming Arrow for a weekend of fun, frolic , food and fellowship in the “Cub Scout Pirate” fashion! Come out to camp January 9-11, 2009 and here’s what you’ll find.
Friday evening program featuring pirate tales and stories and songs…even a chance to learn your own pirate name! You’ll then join a crew of other pirates to prepare for the next day’s activities. Oh, and you’ll eat great before you go to bed!
On Saturday, you’ll arise when the sun hits your eyes and meet at the Captain’s Mess for breakfast. Then, you and your fellow shipmates will head out for a day of fun. Make stuff, learn stuff, play stuff, shoot stuff, practice stuff and more. By the end of the day, you’ll have worked on a lot of Webelos badges (Naturalist, Forester, Outdoorsman, Showman, Artist, Readyman and the like) or their Wolf or Bear counterparts. But, most of all, you’ll have enjoyed a day full of balanced activities and memories you’ll carry with you for years. ‘Course, you’ll be fed throughout the day and have a big show and snacks that night.
On Sunday, you’ll join us for breakfast and have a chance to attend a chapel service. Closing ceremonies will be before lunch, then you’re on your way home (in time to watch those “other” Buccaneers at play (if they make the post-season, of course)!
So, if you’re interested in attending this camp, get together with the other Scouts and parents in your unit and register right away. The cost is just $47.00 per Scout and $20.00 per adult or other non-participating camper (to cover the cost of meals). Registration roster is attached or can be downloaded from www.boyscouting.com.
Here’s a pirate joke, just to help get you in the mood:
Why does it take pirates so long to learn the alphabet?
Because the can spend years at “C!”
